WHY USE A LDS FAMILYSEARCH CENTRE

FamilySearch Centres are operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and are branches of FamilySearch and the unique Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. There are more than 5,100 centres around the world in 145 countries. There is no cost to visit a Family History Centre and they are open to anyone with an interest in genealogical research.

Although technology makes family history research from home easier and more accessible, new tools are created on a regular basis that facilitate finding ancestors. Locally based LDS family history centres enable you to advance your research to the next level.

Because centre hours, resources, and the expertise of volunteer staff varies, researchers with specific questions are advised to contact their local centre for an appointment in advance of a visit.
